1st year Mentorship Committee
2nd year Mentorship Committee
The ASDA mentorship committee at Columbia believes that the sharing of academic knowledge between classes is one of the foundations of scholarly learning. By continuing this long standing tradition of mentoring we hope to give back and empower students in the pursuit of knowledge. We hold review sessions for each block of the biomedical curriculum and provide slides and questions to facilitate learning. Members of the committee maintain close ties with the preclinical instructors to ensure our reviews on operative dentistry align with faculty standards. The mentorship committee also provides practice practicals for the gross anatomy block and holds a mock OSCE (affectionately referred to as a MOSCE) for the first year final exam. In addition to these activities the mentorship committee provides academic resources such as study guides and answers students questions regarding academics and extracurricular activities on our journey to becoming healthcare professionals.
